Campbeltown | Davaar Island

A pebble pathway adjoins Davaar Island to Kintyre at low tide which can be traversed in order to see the cave and the attraction within.

A painting, recently restored, by local artist Archibald MacKinnon in 1887 of Jesus Crucifixion lies on the south side of the island.

As mentioned, you can walk across at low tide, however you should consult with the tide timetables (available at local shops and the Tourist Information Centre) before planning your walk across.

Time roughly for walking across, exploring and returning is around 6 hours, but please consult official timetable documentation for the time you can spend there.
