Carradale
One of the smaller villages in Kintyre, Carradale is roughly 25 minutes drive from Machrihanish, but for those who are torn between playing golf on Arran or Machrihanish this is the perfect place to stay.
Carradale harbour and the scenery are great for quiet contemplation, whilst Dunvalanree and Carradale Hotel are welcome accommodation for those who decide to stay.
The Kintyre Way walk enters and leaves Carradale on separate sections so if you undertake the full Kintyre Way walk you may find yourself with a tough decision whether to eat and sleep at the Carradale Hotel or Dunvalanree, the choice, as Cila Black would say, is yours!
