Golf at Tarbert

On your way to Machrihanish you will pass your way through Tarbert, a small fishing village that marks the start of Kintyre.

Just south of the village, on a road to the right and over the small hill is Tarbert golf course.

This little 9 hole course, is pretty much hazard free with only a few small burns and small greens to contend with. The course starts off flat and rises and falls into the hillside with views over Tarbert's west loch.

It is not uncommon to see rabbit and deer at the course, particularly early morning or later in the evening when it is quiet.

An honesty box provides a place to pay, a clubhouse (licensed) is open at the weekend and when a competition is being played, and during the week the greenkeeper is on hand to help you with any queries.
